PYDC2

Description

The PYDC2 (pyrin domain containing 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 3.

PYDC2, also known as Pyrin-only protein 2 (POP2), is involved in innate immunity by interfering with the interaction between PYCARD and NLRP3, which in turn regulates the NLRP3 inflammasome. It can also suppress NF-kappa-B signaling by impacting the nuclear accumulation of RELA.

PYDC2 is also known as POP2, cPOP2.
