PVRIG

Description

The PVRIG (PVR related immunoglobulin domain containing) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 7.

PVRIG (Poliovirus receptor related immunoglobulin domain containing) is a protein encoded by the PVRIG gene in humans.

PVRIG is a cell surface receptor that binds to NECTIN2. It can act as a coinhibitory receptor, suppressing T-cell receptor signals and inhibiting T-cell proliferation upon interaction with NECTIN2. PVRIG competes with CD226 for binding to NECTIN2.

PVRIG is also known as C7orf15, CD112R.
