PRTG

Description

The PRTG (protogenin) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 15.

PRTG (Paessler Router Traffic Grapher) is a network monitoring software developed by Paessler GmbH. It monitors system conditions like bandwidth usage or uptime and collects statistics from various devices like switches, routers, servers, and applications. Released in 2003, PRTG is available in three versions: a standalone solution (PRTG Network Monitor), one for large networks (PRTG Enterprise Monitor), and a cloud-based version (PRTG Hosted Monitor). PRTG uses an auto-discovery mode to scan networks and identify devices, using protocols like ICMP, SNMP, and RESTful API for data collection. The software utilizes sensors to monitor various aspects of the network, including hardware and applications. PRTG has over 200 pre-defined sensors for collecting statistics on response times, system status, and more. It features an AJAX-based web interface for real-time troubleshooting and data visualization, as well as a desktop client for administration on Windows, Linux, and macOS.

PRTG is also known as IGDCC5.
