PROZ

Description

The PROZ (protein Z, vitamin K dependent plasma glycoprotein) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 13.

PROZ is a human gene that may refer to the protein product of the gene.

PROZ helps control blood clotting by binding to thrombin and encouraging it to stick to phospholipid vesicles. It also blocks the activity of the coagulation enzyme factor Xa when calcium, phospholipids, and SERPINA10 are present.

PROZ is also known as PZ.
