TKFC

Description

The TKFC (triokinase and FMN cyclase) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 11.

TKFC catalyzes the phosphorylation of both dihydroxyacetone and glyceraldehyde, and also splits ribonucleoside diphosphate-X compounds, with FAD being the most effective substrate. This protein suppresses the cellular antiviral response mediated by IFIH1.

TKFC is also known as DAK, NET45, TKFCD.
