RNF220

Description

The RNF220 (ring finger protein 220) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.

RING finger protein 220 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the RNF220 gene.

RNF220 acts as an E3 ubiquitin ligase, promoting the ubiquitination and degradation of SIN3B. However, it also stabilizes CTNNB1 through USP7-mediated deubiquitination, independently of its E3 ligase activity, leading to enhanced Wnt signaling. Additionally, RNF220 plays a critical role in the regulation of the nuclear lamina.

RNF220 is also known as C1orf164, HLD23.
