RIPPLY2

Description

The RIPPLY2 (ripply transcriptional repressor 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 6.

RIPPLY2 participates in somitogenesis, a process that forms the segmented blocks of tissue along the developing embryo's axis. It is essential for the proper separation of these segments (somites) and for establishing the head-to-tail orientation within each somite.

RIPPLY2 is also known as C6orf159, SCDO6, dJ237I15.1.
