RIMS2
Description
The RIMS2 (regulating synaptic membrane exocytosis 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 8.
Regulating synaptic membrane exocytosis protein 2 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the RIMS2 gene.
RIMS2 is a Rab effector protein involved in the process of exocytosis. It may act as a scaffold protein and plays a role in the formation of dendrites by melanocytes.
RIMS2 is also known as CRSDS, OBOE, RAB3IP3, RIM2.
