DYNLT2B

Description

The DYNLT2B (dynein light chain Tctex-type 2B) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 3.

DYNLT2B acts as a non-catalytic subunit of the cytoplasmic dynein 2 complex, which is responsible for moving cargo along microtubules within cilia and flagella. This movement is coordinated with the intraflagellar transport (IFT) system, and DYNLT2B plays a crucial role in ensuring proper retrograde ciliary transport.

DYNLT2B is also known as SRTD17, TCTEX1D2.
