COG2

Description

The COG2 (component of oligomeric golgi complex 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.

COG2 is a human protein encoded by the COG2 gene. It's a component of the COG complex, a multiprotein complex crucial for the structure and function of the Golgi apparatus. The COG complex is involved in intracellular transport and glycoprotein modification. COG2 specifically interacts with COG4 and COG3.

COG2 is essential for maintaining the normal structure and function of the Golgi apparatus.

COG2 is also known as CDG2Q, LDLC.
