CNPY3

Description

The CNPY3 (canopy FGF signaling regulator 3) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 6.

CNPY3 acts as a co-chaperone for HSP90B1, specifically for Toll-like receptors (TLRs). It ensures correct folding of most TLRs, except TLR3, enabling their exit from the endoplasmic reticulum. This role is crucial for both innate and adaptive immune responses.

CNPY3 is also known as CAG4A, DEE60, EIEE60, ERDA5, PRAT4A, TNRC5.
