CFHR4
Description
The CFHR4 (complement factor H related 4) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.
Complement factor H-related protein 4 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CFHR4 gene. It is involved in complement regulation, can associate with lipoproteins and may play a role in lipid metabolism. It forms a homodimer. More information can be found in the GeneReviews/NCBI/NIH/UW entry on Atypical Hemolytic-Uremic Syndrome, OMIM entries on Atypical Hemolytic-Uremic Syndrome, and the UCSC Genome Browser.
Involved in complement regulation. Can associate with lipoproteins and may play a role in lipid metabolism.
CFHR4 is also known as CFHL4, FHR-4, FHR4.
