BRDT

Description

BRDT, short for Bromodomain-containing protein 1, is a gene that plays a crucial role in male fertility. It encodes a protein that interacts with acetylated histones, influencing gene expression during sperm development. BRDT is particularly important for the proper formation and function of the sperm flagellum, the tail that allows sperm to swim. While primarily associated with male fertility, BRDT has also been implicated in other biological processes, including cancer development and immune regulation.
