PPP3R2

Description

The PPP3R2 (protein phosphatase 3 regulatory subunit B, beta) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 9.

Calcineurin subunit B type 2 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the PPP3R2 gene. Among its related pathways are MAPK signaling pathway and GPCR pathway. GO annotations related to this gene include calcium ion binding. An important paralog of this gene is CHP1.

PPP3R2 is a regulatory subunit of calcineurin, a calcium-dependent, calmodulin-stimulated protein phosphatase. It confers calcium sensitivity to calcineurin.

PPP3R2 is also known as PPP3RL.
