PPP2R5E
Description
The PPP2R5E (protein phosphatase 2 regulatory subunit B'epsilon) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 14.
The PPP2R5E gene encodes a protein known as Serine/threonine-protein phosphatase 2A 56 kDa regulatory subunit epsilon isoform. This protein belongs to the phosphatase 2A regulatory subunit B family. Protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A) is a major Ser/Thr phosphatase involved in regulating cell growth and division. It comprises a core dimer of a catalytic subunit (C) and a constant regulatory subunit (A) that associates with various regulatory subunits. The B regulatory subunit, such as PPP2R5E, might modulate substrate selectivity and catalytic activity. The PPP2R5E gene encodes the epsilon isoform of the regulatory subunit B56 subfamily.
PPP2R5E is also known as B56E, B56epsilon.
