PPIE

Description

The PPIE (peptidylprolyl isomerase E) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.

PPIE may refer to:

PPIE (Peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase E) is involved in pre-mRNA splicing as a component of the spliceosome. It combines RNA-binding and PPIase activities, binds mRNA with a preference for single-stranded RNA molecules containing poly-A and poly-U stretches, suggesting it binds to the poly(A)-region in the 3'-UTR of mRNA molecules. PPIE catalyzes the cis-trans isomerization of proline imidic peptide bonds in proteins and inhibits KMT2A activity, which requires its proline isomerase activity.

PPIE is also known as CYP-33, CYP33, CypE.
