PLEKHH2

Description

The PLEKHH2 (pleckstrin homology, MyTH4 and FERM domain containing H2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 2.

In the kidney glomerulus, PLEKHH2 may play a role in connecting podocyte foot processes to the glomerular basement membrane. It might contribute to the stabilization of F-actin by preventing its breakdown. Additionally, PLEKHH2 can draw TGFB1I1 from focal adhesions to podocyte lamellipodia.

PLEKHH2 is also known as PLEKHH1L.
