Description

The PLEKHA1 (pleckstrin homology domain containing A1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 10.

PLEKHA1 is a protein encoded by the PLEKHA1 gene in humans. It is a member of the Pleckstrin homology domain-containing family A.

PLEKHA1 binds specifically to phosphatidylinositol 3,4-diphosphate (PtdIns3,4P2), but not to other phosphoinositides. It may recruit other proteins to the plasma membrane.

PLEKHA1 is also known as TAPP1.
