PLAGL2

Description

The PLAGL2 (PLAG1 like zinc finger 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 20.

PLAGL2 gene encodes Zinc finger protein PLAGL2, a protein that binds to DNA and/or RNA. In gliomas, PLAGL2 suppresses cellular differentiation, promoting stem cell-like characteristics. This plasticity in glioma cells makes them resistant to differentiation factors.

PLAGL2 is also known as ZNF900.
