PIK3R3

Description

The PIK3R3 (phosphoinositide-3-kinase regulatory subunit 3) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.

PIK3R3, the gene encoding Phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase regulatory subunit gamma, is an enzyme involved in cellular signaling pathways. This protein interacts with Insulin-like growth factor 1 receptor, IRS1, and Retinoblastoma protein.

PIK3R3 interacts with activated protein-tyrosine kinases via its SH2 domain, modulating their kinase activity. It also binds to IRS-1 during insulin stimulation.

PIK3R3 is also known as p55, p55-GAMMA, p55PIK.
