PGA5


Description

The PGA5 (pepsinogen A5) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 11.

Pepsin A-5 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the PGA5 gene.

Pepsin A-5 exhibits broad substrate specificity, preferentially cleaving bonds involving phenylalanine and leucine, but also capable of cleaving other bonds to a lesser extent.

PGA5 is also known as Pg5.
