PDZK1IP1

Description

The PDZK1IP1 (PDZK1 interacting protein 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.

PDZK1-interacting protein 1 (PDZK1IP1) is a protein encoded by the PDZK1IP1 gene in humans. It has been shown to interact with PDZK1. PDZK1IP1 is also known as 17 kDa membrane-associated protein or Protein DD96. It may play an important role in tumor biology. PDZK1IP1 interacts with PDZK1 and forms a heterodimer with SLC5A2, which enhances SLC5A2 transporter activity by over a hundred-fold.

PDZK1IP1 may have a significant role in the development and progression of tumors.

PDZK1IP1 is also known as DD96, MAP17, SPAP.
