Description

The PDE4C (phosphodiesterase 4C) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 19.

PDE4C is an enzyme produced by the PDE4C gene in humans. It is mainly found in tissues outside of the central nervous system.

PDE4C breaks down the signaling molecule cAMP, which plays a vital role in controlling many bodily processes.

PDE4C is also known as DPDE1, PDE21.
