PCDH17
Description
The PCDH17 (protocadherin 17) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 13.
Protocadherin-17 is a protein encoded by the PCDH17 gene in humans. It belongs to the protocadherin family, a subfamily of the cadherin superfamily. This protein contains six extracellular cadherin domains, a transmembrane domain, and a cytoplasmic tail. It may play a crucial role in forming and maintaining specific cell-cell connections within the brain.
PCDH17 is also known as PCDH68, PCH68.
