The FCGR3B (Fc gamma receptor IIIb) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.

FCGR3B (Fc fragment of IgG, low affinity IIIb, receptor), also known as CD16b (Cluster of Differentiation 16b), is a human gene. Mutations and copy-number variations in this gene have been associated with clinical cases of glomerulonephritis.

FCGR3B is a low affinity receptor for the Fc region of immunoglobulin gamma (IgG). It binds complexed or aggregated IgG, as well as monomeric IgG. Unlike FCGR3A, it cannot mediate antibody-dependent cytotoxicity or phagocytosis. It may function as a trap for immune complexes in the peripheral circulation, preventing activation of neutrophils.

FCGR3B is also known as CD16, CD16-I, CD16A, CD16b, FCG3, FCGR3, FCGR3A, FCR-10, FCRIII, FCRIIIb.
