The OR52K2 (olfactory receptor family 52 subfamily K member 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 11.
The OR52K2 gene encodes for a protein called Olfactory receptor 52K2. This protein is involved in the sense of smell. It interacts with odorant molecules in the nose, triggering a neuronal response that leads to the perception of a smell.
