Olfactory receptor 4K15 is a protein that is encoded by the OR4K15 gene in humans. It's involved in detecting smells by interacting with odorant molecules in the nose. This interaction triggers a neuronal response, leading to our perception of smell. Olfactory receptors belong to a large family of G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) that are encoded by single-exon genes.
