PRDM13
Description
The PRDM13 (PR/SET domain 13) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 6.
PRDM13 plays a role in regulating gene expression. It is essential for the development of specific neurons in the hypothalamus, known as KISS1-expressing neurons. Furthermore, PRDM13 is crucial for the development of GABAergic cells in the cerebellum, which are vital for proper cerebellar growth after birth.
PRDM13 is also known as CDIDHH, MU-MB-20.220, PCH17, PFM10.
