DCDC1

Description

The DCDC1 (doublecortin domain containing 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 11.

DCDC1 is a microtubule-binding protein that facilitates the movement of RAB8A-containing vesicles to the midbody during cell division. This process, driven by the motor protein dynein, is crucial for proper cytokinesis, the final stage of cell division.

DCDC1 is also known as DCDC5.
