IMPG1

Description

The IMPG1 (interphotoreceptor matrix proteoglycan 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 6.

IMPG1 is a gene that encodes for a protein known as Interphotoreceptor matrix proteoglycan 1. This protein is found in humans.

IMPG1 is a protein that binds to chondroitin sulfate, heparin, and hyaluronan. It is believed to play a role in forming the interphotoreceptor matrix, a structural scaffold within the eye that helps to support and organize the photoreceptor cells.

IMPG1 is also known as GP147, IPM150, RP91, SPACR, VMD4.
