OMD

Description

The OMD (osteomodulin) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 9.

OMD may stand for Osteomodulin.

Osteomodulin plays a role in biomineralization processes, which is the formation of bone and other mineralized tissues. It also interacts with osteoblasts, cells that form bone, through a specific protein called alpha(V)beta(3)-integrin.

OMD is also known as OSAD, SLRR2C.
