OLA1

Description

The OLA1 (Obg like ATPase 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 2.

OLA1, also known as DNA damage-regulated overexpressed in cancer 45 or GTP-binding protein 9, is an enzyme that binds ATP with higher affinity than GTP. It is an example of a protein that has evolved altered nucleotide specificity within the Obg-like GTPase protein family.

OLA1 is also known as DOC45, GBP45, GTBP9, GTPBP9, PTD004.
