NOX5

Description

The NOX5 (NADPH oxidase 5) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 15.

NOX5 is a protein encoded by the NOX5 gene. It is a novel NADPH oxidase that generates superoxide. NOX5 interacts with c-abl, and superoxide production leads to phosphorylation of c-abl. Inhibition of c-abl kinase activity inhibits Nox5 superoxide production.

NOX5 is also known as -.
