NLE1

Description

The NLE1 (notchless homolog 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 17.

The NLE1 gene encodes for the Notchless protein homolog 1, a protein found in humans.

NLE1 plays a critical role in regulating Notch signaling activity. This regulation extends to influencing the expression of CDKN1A and several components of the Wnt pathway, likely through its impact on Notch signaling. NLE1 is essential during embryonic development for the survival of inner mass cells.

NLE1 is also known as NLE, Rsa4.
