NIP7
Description
The NIP7 (nucleolar pre-rRNA processing protein NIP7) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 16.
The NIP7 gene encodes for the 60S ribosome subunit biogenesis protein NIP7 homolog in humans. It has been shown to interact with NOL8.
NIP7 plays a crucial role in the proper processing of 34S pre-rRNA and the assembly of the 60S ribosomal subunit.
NIP7 is also known as CGI-37, HSPC031, KD93.
