NINL

Description

The NINL (ninein like) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 20.

Ninein-like protein is a protein that in humans is encoded by the NINL gene. It is part of the centrosome.

Ninein-like protein is involved in microtubule organization during interphase, and its overexpression disrupts Golgi structure, disperses lysosomes, and hinders mitotic spindle formation. It also contributes to vesicle transport in photoreceptor cells and may be linked to ovarian cancer development.

NINL is also known as NLP.
