ROBO2

Description

The ROBO2 (roundabout guidance receptor 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 3.

ROBO2 is a protein in humans, encoded by the ROBO2 gene.

ROBO2 acts as a receptor for SLIT2, and potentially SLIT1, both of which are implicated in guiding cell migration during development. This guidance role is crucial in processes such as axonal navigation across the ventral midline of the neural tube and the projection of axons towards specific regions during the formation of the nervous system.

ROBO2 is also known as SAX3.
