FGF10 : fibroblast growth factor 10

Description

The FGF10 (fibroblast growth factor 10) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 5.

The FGF10 gene provides instructions for producing the FGF10 protein. This protein is part of a family involved in cell division, growth, maturation, blood vessel formation, wound healing, and prenatal development. FGF10 triggers chemical reactions within cells by binding to receptors, prompting them to specialize. During prenatal development, FGF10 signals contribute to the formation of structures in the ears, skeleton, organs, and eye and mouth glands.

FGF10 is also known as LADD3.
