PIBF1

Description

The PIBF1 (progesterone immunomodulatory binding factor 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 13.

PIBF1, also known as Progesterone-induced-blocking factor 1 and CEP90, is a protein encoded by the PIBF1 gene in humans. It is located at the centrosome, a cellular structure involved in cell division and the organization of microtubules. More information about PIBF1 can be found on the UCSC Genome Browser.

PIBF1 is involved in the formation of cilia, which are hair-like structures that extend from the surface of many cells.

PIBF1 is also known as C13orf24, CEP90, JBTS33, PIBF.
