NAPSB

Description

The NAPSB (napsin B aspartic peptidase (pseudogene)) is a pseudo gene located on chromosome 19.

NAPSB is a protein that functions as a subunit of the nucleosome assembly protein (NAP) complex. The NAP complex is involved in the assembly and disassembly of nucleosomes, which are the basic structural units of chromatin. NAPSB specifically interacts with the histone H3-H4 tetramer, facilitating its deposition onto DNA. This process is crucial for maintaining proper chromatin structure and regulating gene expression.

NAPSB (Nucleosome Assembly Protein, Subunit B) is a component of the nucleosome assembly protein (NAP) complex, which plays a crucial role in the assembly and disassembly of nucleosomes. NAPSB interacts with the histone H3-H4 tetramer and facilitates its deposition onto DNA, contributing to the proper organization and regulation of chromatin structure.

NAPSB is also known as NAP1L, NAP2, NAPB, NAPSBP.
