Description

The NAA38 (N-alpha-acetyltransferase 38, NatC auxiliary subunit) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 17.

NAA38 is an auxiliary component of the N-terminal acetyltransferase C (NatC) complex, responsible for catalyzing the acetylation of N-terminal methionine residues.

NAA38 is also known as LSMD1, MAK31, PFAAP2.
