MZF1

Description

The MZF1 (myeloid zinc finger 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 19.

MZF1 is a protein encoded by the MZF1 gene in humans. It has been shown to interact with SCAND1. In 2014, research by Nathan H. Lents' lab demonstrated that MZF1 induces the GAPDH gene, a factor to consider when using GAPDH as a loading control in experiments that may involve MZF1. The same group later discovered that MZF1 induces CTGF and NOV, two members of the CCN gene family.

MZF1 is also known as MZF-1, MZF1B, ZFP98, ZNF42, ZSCAN6.
