Description

The MTSS1 (MTSS I-BAR domain containing 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 8.

Metastasis suppressor protein 1 is a protein encoded by the MTSS1 gene in humans. As its name suggests, it acts as a metastasis suppressor.

May play a role in cancer progression and tumor metastasis in various organs, possibly by interacting with the actin cytoskeleton.

MTSS1 is also known as MIM, MIMA, MIMB.
