MLEC

Description

The MLEC (malectin) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 12.

MLEC, or Malectin, is a gene that encodes a protein involved in protein glycosylation.

Malectin is a carbohydrate-binding protein that exhibits a strong preference for Glc2-N-glycans. It is believed to be involved in the early stages of protein N-glycosylation.

MLEC is also known as KIAA0152.
