MIIP

Description

The MIIP (migration and invasion inhibitory protein) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.

MIIP inhibits the invasion of glioma cells by downregulating genes involved in adhesion and movement, such as NFKB2 and ICAM1. It has an opposite effect on cell invasion compared to IGFBP2.

MIIP is also known as IIP45.
