LMX1B : LIM homeobox transcription factor 1 beta
Description
The LMX1B (LIM homeobox transcription factor 1 beta) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 9.
The LMX1B gene provides instructions for creating a protein that binds to specific DNA regions, controlling the activity of other genes. This protein is known as a transcription factor, and LMX1B is particularly important during early embryonic development of the limbs, kidneys, and eyes.
LMX1B is also known as FSGS10, LMX1.2, NPS1.
