ASCC1

Activating signal cointegrator 1 complex subunit 1 (ASCC1) is a protein that in humans is encoded by the ASCC1 gene.
ASCC1 plays a crucial role in DNA damage repair as a component of the ASCC complex. It is also part of the ASC-1 complex, which enhances the activity of the transcription factors NF-kappa-B, SRF, and AP1. In cells responding to gastrin signals, ASCC1 contributes to the induction of SERPINB2 expression. ASCC1 may also be involved in the development of the neuromuscular junction.
