TOE1

Description

The TOE1 (target of EGR1, exonuclease) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.

TOE1 is a protein encoded by the TOE1 gene in humans.

TOE1 inhibits cell growth rate and cell cycle progression. It induces the expression of CDKN1A and TGF-beta, mediating the inhibitory growth effect of EGR1. TOE1 plays a role in the maturation of small nuclear RNAs (snRNAs) and snRNA 3'-tail processing. (PubMed:28092684)

TOE1 is also known as PCH7, TOE-1, hCaf1z.
