MAP3K10

Description

The MAP3K10 (mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase 10) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 19.

Mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase 10 (MAP3K10) is an enzyme encoded by the MAP3K10 gene in humans. It belongs to the serine/threonine kinase family and plays a role in activating MAPK8/JNK and MKK4/SEK1. MAP3K10 itself can be activated by phosphorylation through JNK kinases. This kinase primarily functions in the JNK signaling pathway and is involved in nerve growth factor (NGF)-induced neuronal apoptosis. MAP3K10 has been shown to interact with several proteins, including CDC42, Huntingtin, KIF3A, MAPK8IP1, MAPK8IP2, and NEUROD1.

MAP3K10 is also known as MEKK10, MLK2, MST.
