LYPD6

Description

The LYPD6 (LY6/PLAUR domain containing 6) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 2.

LYPD6 is a modulator of nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (nAChR) function in the brain. It inhibits nicotine-induced calcium influx through nAChRs and specifically inhibits alpha-3:beta-4 and alpha-7 nAChR currents in an allosteric manner in vitro. LYPD6 also acts as a positive regulator of Wnt/beta-catenin signaling.

LYPD6 is also known as -.
